2010: The Year of Profound Visibility

So, we’re in week two of 2010 and it just dawned on me. No, it was actually like a smack in the heart with a cosmic 2×4. BAM!

I needed to pump up my life, my coaching and my business in a uniquely profound way. I mean,
my life is pretty darn amazing, I have to admit. I wake up EVERY morning with the zest of life, ready to face what the day has in store with me.

I walk throughout my day with an air of freedom and confidence that totally blows ME away. I’m dating some really amazing men who fit the vision I have created for my ideal Mr. Right! It’s happening.

So guys, as you begin the New Year in your love life, do you have a theme or a direction
for your life planned out?
I’ve decided to do this annually and it makes a huge difference in my own life focus and with the clients that I work with.

This year, is the year of Profound Visibility.

One thing I know about myself is, that, I was a person who hid a lot. No matter what I thought I was doing in my life to shine and that even includes the men I’ve taught along the way, I was still hiding.

Then I realized something quite chilling. Guys, if I want to make important positive differences in the lives of more single gay men, and really, the world – I mean in a profound way, I needed to really look at where was hiding in my life.

Well, to give you an example of what I mean, here are some ways I’m increasing my Profound Visibility.

1. I am coming out of the closet as a Zen practitioner. For some reason, somewhere in my sometimes thinking monkey mind,  I created the belief that my subscribers would unsubscribe and  clients would run for the hills if I infused my Zen work into the  ‘single gay guy’ work that I do. I found it’s the total opposite reaction. In fact, most guys are drawn to this kind of work.

So, suffice it to say I will be mixing in Zen lessons into the work that I do; a more modern approach, that’s fun and exciting.

2. I am ditching the podcast, for now, and will do special Life Shift Videos and what that means is, I will produce short  videos teaching you exactly what you can do make HUGE profound shifts in your thinking and belief systems around love.

3. Collaborate with some of the top experts in the field of dating, relationships, healing and Zen. I want to unveil my heart and open up to more people who have already made amazing positive differences in the world.  I want to reach in and help them spread their amazing life’s work.

4. Kicking up my spiritual practicing by becoming a student of Zen in Syracuse, NY. There is a beautiful Zendo in the small city I live in. I’ve already been in contact with the Roshi there,  and it looks like I will be starting soon. I’m pretty excited!

5. The ever so brilliant speaker within. I am launching my speaker self out into the world. I must be totally honest with you and humbly say that even though the men I work with one-to-one rant and rave about my teachings, getting up in front of hundreds of guys kinda pulls at my anxiety strings. But like the force that I am, I’m always willing to take on and master a new challenge.

Those are some of the ways that I am stepping out into the light to allow who I am to be visible.

Most importantly, as the year progresses, I will be making some amazing changes to the structure of my coaching practice and  programs, so you will be able to interact more with the website.

The Gay Guy’s Love Coach Bottom Line: 2010 is my year of Profound Visibility and I am committed to stepping out on the front line to help my subscribers and clients thrive, not only in LOVE, but in LIFE!

What are YOU going to do to become more visible in the world and importantly in the world of LOVE?

Until next time…

All the best for Profound Visibility in 2010!

Your friend,

Greg Halpen

Greg, I am so inspired by this post. Profound Visibilty! Yes, yes, yes! I too have gone through hiding my talents and gifts from the world, afraid that they would not be accepted by clients, friends. lovers, family. Why do we have those gifts? To bring them forward with great love and to share them. You have my full support as your vision becomes reality – as it is now.

  2. coachgreg38 says:

Yes, Joe! Why do we. I too support your vision 100%!

  3. Shaheed says:

Very nice. Happy to hear about your changes on becoming more visible. Looking forward to learning more about Zen. I’m foreign to it.

  4. Dominic says:

Greg! I admire your openness; it is so rare. Particularly in the business field. It is so much more comfortable and inspiring to be working with someone who works at being authentic and true. Good luck to you with all the changes you are making.

  5. Brian FInch says:

It’s funny I used to be so weirded out by my letting others know about what I’m involved in terms of sprirituality. Now I don’t care at all. Probably from our bad experiences with organized religion as gay me, some of us carry a lot of baggage around that. Additionally, it is so profoundly personal, that I didn’t know if I did want to share it.

To be honest, I know Zen more as a decorating theme, and philosophy of traquility, but as a spiritual practiced on an organized front, I haven’t got a clue.

Glad to hear you have refocused for a new year.

I love the fact that you are fusing Zen in with your teachings. I also think that ditching podcasts will work in your favor. You always have great things to say and I like the fact that you are always revamping ways to get these ‘great things’ out there. Onward and Upwards! Kudos, Greg.

  7. Scott Abel says:

Good stuff, as usual. I may to include you in an article I’m writing. I’ll talk to you about that when I phone you up.

  8. Greg – I LOVE this. If only we would show up visbible & share our light more – wow. I too have hidden my practices, meditations, channeling & other gifts for fear of embarrassment. Now is the year to Do It Afraid – Do It Anyway! I am going to be visible by creating Zen Tribes in 2010 – triZENbe gatherings. I give you a standing ovation for your public speaking & full support on your waking dream. Do it because you are it. Much love, Mary Anne

  9. John Gorsuch says:

    Greg,

Yes…! I am so proud of you and I support your “coming out” 100%!

    thoughts…

    1. you already do this…I have experienced your zen-ness in our work together….love you for that!

    2. Awesome, bout time we got to see that handsome mug of yours…love that!

    3. I support you 100% and applaud your courage and the balls it takes to reach in such a profound way…love your balls!

    4. You should be…that is a bold step…love your sense of “rightness”!

    5. Brilliant… I am one of those guys. When you share from your heart, your truth and your own experience, not only do you enroll 100′s or even 1000′s of gay guys, you inspire and motivate us to do the same. Just speak “as if” you were speaking to “one”…to me… That kind of intimacy is what we all crave. Believe…therein lies the magic!

to 2010 and to your courageous steps toward profound visibility!

    xo
